Reasons for Most Jihads

Most violent jihads are purely political revolutions dressed in the ideology of religious puritanism. They are often, clandestinely, aimed at the removal of an existing political structure to pave way for the enthronement of the jihadists' pre-determined political arrangements. Some of these genocidal jihads have already been successful in the past while others are still being hatched in the religious houses of the jihadists. In any case, the struggle continues and there is no arguing that this will fizzle away in the nearest future.  Reason? At the heart of most violent jihads is a yearning for territorial conquests and expansions.

Take Nigeria as a case study.
