Why We Don't Hear From God Anymore

Many people don't hear from God anymore because they keep talking all the time. If you want to hear from God,you must learn to be silent. You can't be talking all the time and expect to hear from God at the same time. 

If you want to pray,pray in the silence of your heart,crying and pouring your hearts to God as Hannah did. Prayers don't have to be noisy and violent for God to hear for he is not too deaf to hear you. Whenever you are around others, as you pray, remember they too have their rights to pray to God. Don't let your prayers become a distraction for them else you become uncharitable to others. Be charitable. Consider the other person too.

Whenever you want to pray to God, just imagine for a moment if God was your physical father, the same father who gave birth to you, would you shout,commanding him to do something for you? If you need something from your earthly father, do you shout at him? Do you command him to do it? Do you go blabbing meaningless cacophonies before him? I am sure if you try that, he will dismiss you from his presence without giving you what you asked for, for being disrespectful. How much more should you exhibit decorum and candour whenever you go to God in Prayer.

My brothers and sisters in the Lord, don't think that God answers your prayers because you can shout whenever you pray or because you can pray for hours; no. Rather, God answers your prayers because you have asked with the right intention; He answers you because it is according to his will for you.

Be humble, gentle, honest,loyal, selfless and obedient whenever you pray. God still moves in that gentle, quiet, still wind. 

Whenever you pray, don't forget to add " your will, not my will, be done Oh God".

May God answer your prayers in accordance with his will for you. May He look with favour and mercy from his throne and grant your prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord.
